What is CalcTape
A new kind of calculator.
With CalcTape, even extensive calculations stay clear. The software makes the arithmetic visible – you create interim results and correct any number or operation afterwards. CalcTape replaces your old desktop calculator.

Percentages and tax rates
A percentage refers to the running total; the operator in front decides whether it is added or subtracted. CalcTape writes the resulting amount beside it. The tax keys know the rates of your country.

Is CalcTape free?
On Windows, Android and in the browser, yes – the Freeware is free forever there for private use. On Mac, iPhone and iPad, CalcTape is a paid app. The Pro version with multiple documents, custom keys and more functions starts at 2.99 € per license – the exact price depends on the platform.
Can I try Pro first?
On Android, yes: the app can start a one-time trial with the full Pro feature set – 10 days, no purchase and no subscription. It ends by itself; documents you created stay readable and are read-only until you upgrade.
Can I download CalcTape for Windows?
Not at the moment. CalcTape for Windows is being rebuilt from the ground up; until the new version is ready we are not handing out any version. If you would like to test the new one early, register as a beta tester – we will get in touch as soon as the beta starts. Everything else is on the CalcTape for Windows page.
How is CalcTape different from a normal calculator?
The entire calculation stays visible – like on a paper tape. You change any item afterwards, add comments and create interim results. The total recalculates automatically after every change.
Can I use CalcTape commercially?
For commercial use there is the Pro and the Business version. From 25 licenses, the Business version offers, among other things, your own company logo and a custom setup (MSI) for company-wide deployment.
