With CalcTape, even extensive calculations stay clear. The software makes the arithmetic visible – you create interim results and correct any number or operation afterwards. CalcTape replaces your old desktop calculator.
Enter your items as a list – step by step, with plus, minus, times, divide, exponents and percentages.
Label every item. That keeps it clear what the numbers mean – today and a year from now.
Change a value in the middle of the calculation. CalcTape recalculates everything instantly – no starting over.
A classic desktop calculator only shows the final result – how you got there stays invisible, and one wrong tap means starting over. CalcTape makes the whole calculation visible and editable at any time.
Every number stays visible and can be labelled – it’s not just the final result that counts, but the whole path to it.
Just correct a wrong item instead of retyping the whole calculation – CalcTape recalculates everything instantly.
Save calculations, use them as templates and run scenarios – a one-off calculation becomes a tool.
The tape on the desktop: the items with comments and subtotals on the left, result and keypad on the right.
Thought through in detail, clear to use – software you actually enjoy using.
A long list of calculation items – with the full overview, just like an adding machine with a paper tape.
Change individual items – the whole calculation is recalculated automatically and instantly.
Structure and check your calculation with subtotals in exactly the right places.
Add a note to every item – the meaning and context of the calculation stay clear at a glance.
CalcTape works in decimals and rounds the way a bookkeeper does – percentages before they go into the total. At the end, every cent adds up.
A percentage refers to the running total; the operator in front decides whether it is added or subtracted. CalcTape writes the resulting amount beside it. The tax keys know the rates of your country.
Work with variables, parentheses and trigonometric functions – for easy-to-read, “speaking” calculations.
The preset tax keys can be edited in every edition. Your own keys and whole keypads come with Pro.
A sheet that is always open and saves itself. Whatever you work out in between is still there the next time you start.
Save calculations as files and reopen them anytime – with automatic recalculation. With Pro, any number of them sit side by side.
Use files as templates: change individual values and run variants or scenarios in no time.
Print with preview, save as PDF or HTML, copy with formatting into your own document – columns, green comments, red negative amounts. Excel with Pro.
Which of these come with the free edition depends on the platform – the overview is under Editions.
The full calculating comfort is in every edition. What the tiers add on top is here; which ones exist on your device and what they cost is in the overview below.
